What Are the Motorcycle Helmet Laws?

No matter your experience level with motorcycles, it’s important to know the motorcycle laws in each state. In Oklahoma, for example, helmet laws are different than they are in neighboring states. Before you ride your new Harley-Davidson through Tulsa or road trip cross-country to Sturgis, make sure you have the proper gear and are aware of the laws. For any other accessories or maintenance and repairs you may need to keep you safe on the road, reach out to our expert service department here at Myers-Duren Harley-Davidson.

What Are Oklahoma’s Helmet Laws?

In Oklahoma, the state law requires all motorcycle drivers and passengers under the age of 18 to wear a helmet. The helmet for those riding a motorcycle under the age of 18 must be properly secured and worn as intended while meeting the standards established by federal safety regulations. So, if you’re over 18 just riding from Broken Arrow to Bartlesville, your safety is up to you.
